Professional Caretakers is a bonded, insured and licensed in home senior care agency that has been proudly serving Austin, Fort Worth, Grapevine, Richardson, San Antonio, Weatherford and surrounding areas for over 25 years!

At Professional Caretakers, we provide in home senior care services including personal care and assistance, companionship, adult sitter services, care management and assistance with daily living (ADL's) assistance. Our home health aides are available for live-in and hourly as needed.

Many of our caretakers live in the counties we serve, and the rural areas outside these major cities. Our offices serve as hubs for our staff and allow us to serve all areas along the I-35, I-45 and I-75 corridors.

Why Professional Caretakers?

Professional Caretakers is are not a franchise. We’re family owned, and one of just a handful of CQA Certified home health agencies in Texas that provides full range of  home care options including medical and non-medical aides, and private nurses.

Unlike other agencies Professional Caretakers employ an RN case manager. Our RN develops a comprehensive care plan that looks at all your options. Of course, we will do everything to keep your independence and keep you in your own home.

Professional Caretakers In Home Senior CareIf a care facility is the best option or it eventually becomes the best option, our nurse will meet with you and your loved one(s) to discuss. She will present options but you will always be in charge. She will even also help you with the transition to assisted living or a nursing home.

* * Some other agencies offer geriatric care planning but usually charge a separate fee. Professional Caretakers does not. We are a CQA Certified Agency and follow their personality testing program and standards.

We match our caretaker’s personality with the personality and desires of your loved one. This takes some skill, but our Registered Nurses have been doing it for over 20 years. This means your loved one will bond with our caretaker. Our caretaker will become a regular and trusted friend.  Because, long term, the same caretaker makes all of us happy!

Professional Caretakers maintains an additional license that is not required by the state of Texas for personal care. Therefore, we can we train your same caretaker to assist with tasks like medications, rehab exercises, catheter care, tube feeding, etc. We can also coordinate with your Medicare agency or Hospice agency, if more technical treatments are needed.

Alzheimer's Dementia Care

Whether it’s Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, Lewy Body dementia, Pick’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, Parkinson’s dementia or dementia related to trauma, they require similar approaches. Professional Caretakers can provide in-home dementia care for patients through every stage of these heartbreaking illnesses, regardless of the type.Professional Caretakers Alzheimer's Dementia Home Care

Our RN Case Managers collectively have more than 80 years experience working with Dementia and Alzheimer’s care patients and their families. They serve as educators, advocates, and a go-to person for resource information for clients and our caretakers.

Professional Caretakers participates in programs, including “Activities with a Purpose” and “Memory Lane Program”, supervised by licensed elderly care experts. We serve on the board of the Alzheimer’s Association.

We also serve on the Alzheimer’s Walk and Auction committees. Through our partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association and our RN Case Managers, we train and support our caretakers so they can deliver specialized care that preserves your loved one’s abilities and quality of life as long as possible. You can’t learn these skills in an 8 hour class, but through training and experience.

FREE Transportation Services

Professional Caretakers provides transportation incidental to our other care services, such as taking clients to medical appointments, beauty salons, shopping, or wherever else a client wants to go. Getting out is good for everyone’s mind, body and spirit. We include transportation for free as part of our service!

As an example, should you need someone to take you to the airport a taxi may cost upwards to $75. A non medical transport company has a mileage fee, and usually a trip fee, that will accumulate to the same or even more than our service. We have 'non hired' auto insurance that covers your loved one, our caretakers, and anyone that might get injured in an accident. This insurance allows us to do “incidental” transportation.

Assistance With VA Aid & Attendance

As a veteran, you may be entitled to a special pension benefit. The VA may cover the cost of home care to help you with things like bathing, dressing, cleaning, meals, etc., — if you qualify. Almost every home care agency can help you fill out the VA paperwork or you can do it yourself. Professional Caretakers can complete your paperwork for FREE!
