The age wave is mounting: 33 million Americans, an unprecedented 13% of the population, are over 65. Their ranks will more than double by the year 2030.

One of the key issues for this population group will be the need for alternatives for care to deal with the various conditions that come with aging that make everyday activities difficult. In fact, by the age of 65, nearly 17% of us need some support with the every day activities of living. By age 85, nearly half of us need this help.

The type of care needed most by these seniors is not medical care, but supportive care. They don't need, or want, a nursing home (indeed, only 5% are in nursing homes), but they do need some services to remain independent in their own home. Assistance is provided be trained, insured and bonded caregivers for a variety of caregiving needs.

Whether it's for extra assistance after a stay in the hospital, an aging parent who needs extra help or companionship to remain in their home, or as a respite for the husband or wife who cares for an ailing spouse, non medical in-home care can help.
