    PC's by seniors:

           72%-correspondence with friends and family.
           59%-research particular issues and subjects.
           53%-access news.
           52%-games and puzzles.
           47%-research travel and vacation plans.
           43%-obtain weather information.
           25%-perform volunteer work for various organizations.

    The following are among the most popular sites for seniors:

    1.  Classmates.com - 12 percent of Classmates' members are 55 and over(approximately 3.8 million people).  Finding lost friends is a popular past time for older folks.

    Genealogy.com -Market heavily to seniors looking to research family roots.

    3. 
    Networkforgood.org - Markets to seniors a database of charitable giving opportunities.

    4. 
    Senior.match.com - Specializes in matching up seniors.  On the site match.com there are more than 70,000 members 60 and older.

    5. 
    Sidestep.com and Site59.com - Markets great travel deals to seniors.

    6.
    Webmd.com and Benefitscheckup.org - Markets to seniors concerned with health matters.

    Online messaging brings generations together.  Pictures of grandchildren can now be sent across the country in a matter of seconds.  This impacts life in a profound way.

    Retirement planning is popular for soon-to-be seniors.  Quicken.com Retirement Planner asks a few simple questions including your age and your desired retirement age, and then helps build a plan.

    Sites like realtor.com are perfect for finding retirement property.

    4.  TRAVEL

    Seniors have become the biggest users of travel sites.  Since they have more time to be flexible on open ended dates, they can receive great bargains.

    5.  HEALTH

    The internet offers a wealth of information to make informed healthcare decisions and make informed healthcare decisions.  And, the National Council on Aging a developed a great site to help sort through medical benefits.  Seniors lose out on billions of dollars in Federal and State benefits because they are unware these benefits exist.

    6.  VOLUNTEERISM

    A giant database for volunteer and charitable giving opportunities.  There are even virtual volunteer programs like eBuddies and other mentoring programs which are a great way for seniors to contribute their time and wisdom.
