Welcome to Arden Courts, located in Austin, TX. Arden Courts provides a safe and pleasing home for individuals with memory loss. We are a residential living alternative designed for individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and other types of memory impairments.
We offer the services traditionally associated with an assisted living residence, while taking into account the special needs of individuals with memory loss including safety, building layout, activities and dietary needs. We focus on meeting preferences, maximizing capabilities and fostering maximum independence. Professional assistance is available 24-hours a day. The center is designed with a simple layout and visual cues that help residents stay oriented and as independent as possible.
Arden Courts offers all the services normally associated with an assisted living facility, however, the services have been modified to take into account the unique needs of the Alzheimer's resident. Special attention has been given to physical building layout, safety and decor. Modified activity and food service programs focus on preferences, abilities and, most importantly, maintaining independence for as long as possible. Of course, personal care assistance is available 24 hours a day. Residents are encouraged to continue whatever activities they were used to doing at home - setting the table or preparing for dinner, doing laundry, gardening in the backyard, or going out for social and community activities. All this is accomplished in a warm, friendly, familiar and safe setting supervised by people specially trained to care for those with Alzheimer's disease. Since the disease is progressive, an individual's stage of affliction often will determine the level and type of care required. Thefore, we find that family programs and support groups are the key component of all our programs. A range of care settings is offered for individuals various stages of Alzheimer's disease and related memory disorders.
