Probate

For those of you that only have a will, Hegwood & Associates, P.C. will help your executor probate your estate. We have the experience to handle these matters and the caring to help the families that have suffered a loss.

Additionally, some people die without a will and yet have property that needs to given to their heirs. There are special proceedings for this occurrence and Hegwood & Associates, P.C. has the ability to handle the complexities of this type of proceedings.

Also, families that have loved ones that do not have medical power of attorney and a statutory power of attorney and become incapacitated may need guardianships in order to take care of the medical and financial decisions of those loved ones.

Trust Administration

For those families that have trusts, Hegwood & Associates, P.C. has the ability to administer the trust after the death of a Grantor. The ability to administer trusts correctly enables the beneficiaries to receive their trust assets without problems and performed correctly.

Kim has a BAA in Management Information Systems and a BS in Legal Studies from University of Houston. She graduated from South Texas College of Law and was admitted to the Bar in 1997. She belongs to the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys and has been a volunteer at Bay Area Turning Point and the Annual Galveston County National Adoption Day.
