since 1982. Family Eldercare offeres innovative and leading-edge care
at affordable rates, based on the client’s income. Our compassionate qualified
professionals provide a full range of services to ensure older adults remain
independent and safe.

services to persons who otherwise cannot afford care. You receive the

Our services and programs are designed to
prevent abuse, neglect, self-neglect and financial exploitation of elders and
adults with disabilities, prolong independent living in the least restrictive
environment, and promote the health, well-being and dignity of those we serve.
How We Help In-Home Care and
Caregiver Services: Provides assistance
with personal care and homemaker services for older adults and adults with
disabilities. We also offer relief for full-time caregivers. We serve all
income levels and have a sliding fee scale based on income level.
Custom Cleaning for
Independent Senior Living (Heavy House Cleaning): We
provide customized cleaning for seniors. Because we are experts in
providing services for older adults we know what you need for heavy house cleaning
and we include things that would be considered “extras”with other home
cleaning companies. We are insured and bonded.
Guardianship
Services: Provides court-appointed legal guardianship for
vulnerable elderly and people with disabilities who are at risk for abuse,
neglect or exploitation, and have no family to assist them.
Bill Payer/Money
Management Services: Provides assistance with bill paying and budgeting thereby
preventing financial exploitation and neglect of elders and people with
disabilities.
Elder Shelter: Provides
temporary housing for low-income elders in an abusive situation or facing a
housing crisis.
Consultation &
Service Coordination: Provides individualized eldercare consultation and
coordination of eldercare services and benefits to elders and their families.
Sliding fee scale available.
Low-Income Senior
Housing: Family Eldercare is the
sponsor of Lyons Gardens, an affordable senior housing community in Central
East Austin.
Summer Fan Drive: Distributes fans, air conditioners and provides other
critically-needed support services to low-income elderly, people with
disabilities and families with children during the hot summer months.
Lifetime Connections
Without Walls: Sharing, Caring
and Learning from the comfort of your home, using your own telephone. Anyone
over the age of 55 can participate.
Holiday Giving
Drive: The Holiday Giving Drive
project is an annual opportunity for the community to share holiday cheer with
our elderly and disabled clients. The recipients of the HGD are clients of
Family Eldercare; adults with disabilities [age 18+] and the elderly, who would
not otherwise receive a gift during the Holiday Season.
