At Hill Country Care Providers we can proudly boast about our caregivers and their training. We have the only "Certified Geriatric Caregivers" a standard that sets our team above employees at other agencies or facilities. Then each caregiver undergoes an additional 20 hours of training by our gerontologist before they can work with any of our clients. (The State of Texas only mandates a yearly training of four hours.) Additionally, each caregiver has monthly in-service training where they receive up-to-date training in other areas of care.

All of our caregivers pass a strict background and motor vehicle check and are insured and bonded through Hill Country Care Providers. Our staff are offered the option of medical insurance as part of our employment package of benefits.

The Health Survey licensing review from the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services was recently conducted at Hill Country Care Providers. The results of the survey team were resoundingly positive with a declaration of “No Deficiencies Cited.”

The survey was conducted over a three day period and included one-on-one interviews with clients, families and staff members, as well as reviews of non-medical, medical charts and personnel files. This is a very thorough and in-depth survey designed to identify any areas in the business which require additional care or are of concern to the State of Texas.

Hill Country Care Providers was found to be “in compliance with all applicable Home and Community Support Service Agencies Regulations” and “No Deficiencies Cited.”

Alternate Types of Care for Clients

Not all of Hill Country Care Providers clients are long-term or ongoing cases. Sometimes family caregivers just need a little bit of help. If you and your loved one need a certified dementia care giver for a few hours of respite, we are certainly happy to arrange that type of service.

Maybe you just need a break to catch the latest movie or enjoy a dinner out with a friend or spouse. HCCP will be happy to send one of our qualified and dedicated caregivers to assist you with your “special night (or afternoon) out.”

Day Surgery or Rehab Only?

Hill Country Care Providers is also pleased to announce we are Austin's ONLY home health agency providing specialized care for persons recovering from day surgery.

We will help you make your surgery arrangements, including providing you transportation to and from your appointment. We’ll get you home quickly and safely and make certain your bed is turned down and your recovery time is as comfortable and as pleasant as possible.

We’ll make sure your post-operative orders are followed and your medication is properly administered. We’ll even have your favorite restaurant deliver your favorite dish and serve it to you in bed!

Jackie has more than 41 years of experience serving Texas’ elderly. She has been involved in home health care, skilled and assisted living facilities and hospital settings. She has a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baylor University. Jackie is licensed to practice geriatric nursing in Texas and is certified by the National Academy of Certified Care Managers.

At Hill Country Care Providers we are also pleased to offer ‘Certified Geriatric and Dementia Caregivers’ as part of our standard of care. Our caregivers are Austin’s only certified and fully trained specialists. No other home health agency can offer the level of experience or training our staff brings to our clients and their families. Our caregivers undergo a rigorous interview process and a 20-hour training course with a gerontologist to prepare them to work with families. That difference in our training means we offer Austin an unprecedented level of care.”
