Our office staff is on call 24 hours a day should an emergency arise. There is always someone available who can help.
Coordination of care is always managed by a social worker with geriatric experience and is included in our costs.
Cognitive Retention Therapy (CRT) also known as the Ashby Memory Method is a
Cognitive therapy for dementia, based on the research of Dr. Mira
Ashby. The Ashby Memory Method is a brain fitness program of week-by-week memory exercises and activities scientifically designed to improve brain fitness and function for seniors with Alzheimer’s, other forms of dementia and memory loss.
It is personalized for the participant and can be done in the privacy and comfort of your home with a family member or a caregiver.
Practical Care is proud to launch our new program for persons with memory problems. Recently developed in Canada by the Alzheimer’s Innovation Institute, the Ashby Memory method has shown amazing results on those with mild to moderate memory loss.
Our staff is excited about this new program and the results we have already seen. As a stand-alone or included as part of our regular home care, the Ashby Memory Method is a must-have service.
