ResCare Home Care provides senior and elderly home care throughout Austin, Baytown, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Plano and San Antonio,

Our home care professionals are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays. We tailor our services to meet your specific needs. Scheduling can be arranged in increments ranging from as little as one hour to 24 hours a day.

Our nurses and caregivers are trained in accordance with state licensing rules and regulations, are subject to criminal background checks, have provided satisfactory references prior to employment, and are fully insured.  ResCare HomeCare is also a professional member of the Texas Association for Home Care and the National Private Duty Association.

Companion Services 

ResCare HomeCare's companion services are designed to help those individuals who require watchful oversight, companionship, transportation, and/or accompaniment to events or appointments.

Companion services may include: assistance in preparing for outings; transportation and/or accompaniment to medical, dental, social, or business appointments; transportation and/or accompaniment to church functions; visits with friends and neighbors; accompaniment to a movie or restaurant; letter writing; game and/or card playing; reading; and general conversation.

Such assistance can be combined with homemaking, personal care and support, and/or medication reminders when and where needed. Additional services can be provided as required.

Homemaking Services

Homemaking services include the tasks necessary for the upkeep and cleanliness of the home. These include:

• Meal planning and preparation – Grocery shopping, meal preparation, monitoring diet and food intake, preparing future meals, and clean-up
• Errands – Picking up prescriptions, gathering the mail, and general shopping
• Pet care – Walking, feeding, and basic grooming
• Light housekeeping chores – As part of a home care visit, our direct support professionals will assist with laundry, changing linens, taking out trash, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, caring for houseplants, and general cleaning. ResCare HomeCare is not a home cleaning service. If such services are required, we will make an appropriate referral.

ResCare HomeCare caregivers are trained in accordance with state licensing rules and regulations, undergo criminal background checks, have provided satisfactory references prior to employment, and are fully insured.

Medication Reminders

Taking the right medication, in the correct dose and on time, is an important part of your overall healthcare management. ResCare HomeCare offers medication reminders at various levels to assist you with your medications.

Personal Care and Support

Most people who choose ResCare HomeCare request personal care and support services.  These services provide hands-on assistance with the activities of daily living for people who cannot complete these tasks independently or who cannot be left alone while performing these tasks for safety reasons. Personal care and support services can be combined with homemaking, companion, and/or medication reminders services. Additional services can be provided as needed.

Transportation and Accompaniment

Within our transportation and accompaniment services, ResCare HomeCare provides caregiver-drivers to transport or accompany clients to non-emergency medical appointments, shopping or other errands, social and recreational events, and so forth.

For more active seniors who do not want to leave their cars parked in parking garages while traveling, our caregiver-drivers can provide pick-up and drop-off services to and from the airport, train, or bus terminal. Our drivers use client-owned and insured vehicles. Proof of registration and insurance is required.

Support and Care in Assisted Living Facilities

ResCare HomeCare offers a full range of support services to seniors who live in assisted living communities and require additional supports. Supportive care in an assisted living facility may include personal care and support, homemaking, companion, medication reminders, and skilled nursing services.
