Purpose: Spend a Sunday afternoon at the ballpark! Come watch your Houston Astros play the Washington Nationals at Minute Maid Park in Houston! We will be leaving the Activity Center around 9:00 AM, the game will start at 1:05 PM and we will arrive back at the Activity Center around 8:30 PM. We will arrive in plenty of time to enjoy everything that Minute Maid Park has to offer! Trip cost is $64 / person and includes round trip transportation and a ticket to the game. Everything else will be on your own. Registration will begin April 10, 2009. Registration and final payment deadline is Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Register the whole family NOW, as this trip will fill up fast. This is for anyone 5 years old and up.     Purpose: Join us as we travel to Brenham on August 18th for a fun-filled day! We will first visit the Flying Horses Antique Carousel which was produced between 1867 and 1901 where we will spend an hour and you will have the opportunity to ride the carousel. Next, we will travel to Must Be Heaven for lunch on your own. After that, we will head to the Blue Bell Factory for a tour and ice-cream tasting! You will also have plenty of time to browse the gift shop. The last stop on our trip will be a tour of the Giddings-Stone Mansion, built in 1869. The mansion is a fine example of 19th century Texas architecture and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We will arrive back at the Activity Center around 7:30 PM. Ages: 18 and up. The bus leaves Activity Center (501 E. Hopkins) at 7:30 AM and gets back around 7:30 PM. Fee: $34/person, which includes trip transportation and all tour fees . Lunch will be on your own.
