Employee Biography's

Michelle Davis
I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and attended Baylor University in Waco. My husband and our son live in the Cedar Park/Leander area. I joined Bob Pender and his financial firm on October 25, 2001 and have been with Seniors Financial Solutions from the beginning in 2002. Working with seniors has been a passion for me since I was a teenager, when I began volunteering at local nursing homes. I absolutely love being able to help calm the fear and clear up the confusion that many of our clients come to us with.  It is such a pleasure to be able to teach them about the process and tell them that it is going to be okay!  I am truly blessed to be a part of something that really makes a difference in the lives of others. We have assembled an amazing team of very special people who have one goal:  Helping People. If you have a need that we can assist you with, I sincerely hope that you will allow us to help! In addition to loving my job, I also enjoy biking, skiing, watching my son play football, and spending time with my family.

Tammy Smith
My grandparents raised me in Leander, Texas. After graduating, I began a 15-year career with the U.S. Postal Service. After searching for a more fulfilling career, I then transitioned to the Dental field where I worked for 8 years as a treatment coordinator, handling insurance claims, scheduling patients etc. I took a few years off to recover from back surgery and then found my true passion here at SFS! I love being around elderly people because they are so wise! I love helping people get the help they really need from our SFS Team. I also love the Austin area and especially being outdoors. I love being on Lake Travis when I'm not here doing Estate Planning and Medicaid filing at SFS.

Haley Ross
I was born and raised in the Leander/Cedar Park area and have always enjoyed it. In July of 2009 I had the wonderful opportunity of joining the team at Seniors Financial Solutions. My previous work experience at the State of Texas, and in my family’s business has made me very detail oriented, and taught me to have a great work ethic, as well as being able to connect with people and build their trust. My title here at Seniors Financial Solutions is a Case Manager / Medicaid Counselor. I meet with families to review their personalized options and work with the families to achieve whichever goal they choose. I assist in the preparation of cases to be submitted to the State as well as the initial referrals that come in. I also represent Seniors Financial Solutions with several Skilled Nursing Facilities as being their personal representative for all of their residents in need of Medicaid benefits. My favorite part about working at Seniors Financial Solutions is how everyone has their hearts set on helping our clients in any way we possibly can.

Holly Gigout
I am Holly Gigout, LBSW, Medicaid Case Manager and the Southeast Central Texas Representative for Seniors Financial Solutions.  Though I grew up in Michigan, I got to Texas as soon as I could and now have a family in Smithville.  I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and worked as a nursing home social worker for 14 years before officially joining the Seniors Financial Solutions family in 2011.  Since I had received nothing but positive feedback from the families I had referred to SFS since 2003, I felt confident that I was making a good career move and joining a wonderful, helpful organization.  As a licensed social worker, I feel that my experience in long term care allows me to provide my clients with a unique perspective and additional help in navigating though this difficult time in their lives.  Generally, I just love helping people, getting to know their personal stories, and making sure that their wishes are respected.

Sheri Bailey

I have resided in Central Texas since the early eighties and consider Austin my hometown.  I started working with Seniors Financial Solutions in March of 2010 as a Medicaid Case Manager. The primary tasks that my position with SFS entails is the initial consultation with our clients and building their case from the application process through to Medicaid approval.  I am also responsible for Life Estate Preservation cases, which prepares clients in advance for the Medicaid five year look back by protecting their assets.  My desire to become a part of the TEAM here at Seniors Financial Solutions stemmed from my desire to assist other people during a time of need, emotional and crucial periods in their lives. 

Andrea Allen
I am a case analyst here at Seniors Financial Solutions and joined the SFS team in August of 2010. I support the case managers in putting the cases together to present to the state.  I enjoy working the cases as each one is very unique and provides a learning experience with fun challenges. I often go by the nickname "Andi".  I have lived in the Austin area all of my life and love it!  I am a soccer and baseball mom to three teenagers. I am a former triathlete. I enjoy golfing, travel, cooking, scuba diving, photography, and I love history.

Kirsten Sheldon
I am an Administrative Assistant at Seniors Financial Solutions. I started working at SFS in April 2010. I assist each caseworker in mailing out documents, I get cases ready to mail out to the state, I assist clients and residents wanting information when answering the phone and I am always available to assist Bob, Michelle and all the caseworkers with what ever is needed.  I enjoy very much working at SFS. The most enjoyable part of my job is talking with clients and callers needing help with their loved ones. I really enjoy helping others and trying to get answers for them. I have the best bosses in the world and this is the best job I have ever had. We are all treated with respect, love and care. I was born in Burbank California and lived in LA until I was I 13. I moved to a little town in Texas called Lolita and had the honor of getting to know my great grandparents. I then moved to Victoria Texas and graduated from Victoria High in 1987. After graduating I moved to Austin with my parents and have lived here ever since. I am the parent of 2 teenage boys (13 and 15) and 2 teenagers girls (18 and 20). I really enjoy movies, backpacking, gardening, football, birds/squirrels, photography, family and one day I would love to rescue dogs.

Misty Kracy
My name is Misty Kracy, I have lived in Cedar Park TX for 14 yrs. I joined Seniors Financial Solutions in 2011. I assist our Case Managers with preparing and documenting our clients’ cases for the state. I am enjoying working with an amazing company that is only here to help people and helping them at a time when they need it most.  I enjoy reading inspirational Christian Fiction novels, cooking and hanging out with my family. Which consist of 3 boys and a husband that LOVE football!

Anna H. Bertelson
I was raised in the wonderful small town of Liberty Hill, Texas.  After being in the dental field for 12 years, I was recruited by a friend to take a chance on a great opportunity with a great company. I have now been here at Seniors Financial Solutions a year and loving it!  My job here as a “caseworker” is to get the case ready for submission to the state; that means getting extremely detail oriented and making sure that all questions are answered about the case.  I really enjoy getting to know each family, and learning their family history. I also love the feeling and accomplishment that I get knowing I have helped a family that is going through a very difficult time. I am happily married with a 4-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl, as you can imagine they keep me busy when I am not at work.

Stevie Rae Armstrong
I was born in Austin, Texas. She resided in Borger, Texas for 7 years but other than that she has stayed in the Austin area. She currently resides in Leander, Texas with her husband Sean whom she married in January of 2006. They have a son, Riker and two daughters, Rien Rae and Kaedence. She began working part time with SFS in the summer of 2008 and became a full time employee later that fall. Her favorite thing about working with Seniors Financial Solutions is all of the interesting people she meets and being able to help them. She is a Medicaid Counselor but she also handles all invoicing & receiving of payments, Medicaid Estate Recovery, Annual Reviews, and works as an assistant to Bob Pender & Michelle Davis.

Virginia Naumann
I’m a Medicaid Counselor who helps families both in the application process of Medicaid eligibility for their family members and in understanding Long Term Care language and procedures. Prior to being part of the SFS/KK team, Virginia spent 20+ years as a professional in the Long Term Care field. She is no stranger to the difficulty of caring for aging parents, having been responsible for her own parents, parents-in-law, and serving as a guardian of an aunt requiring extensive care.
